On September 2003, I gathered a few people with the burden to establish a House of Prayer in the spirit of the tabernacle of David. We were not very confident in ourselves. However, we know that it is the heart of God to establish a House of Prayer where "the fire on the altar shall never go out" in the land of Singapore. We trusted that the Lord will call people from all over the land– musicians, worship leaders and singers, to come and build the House of Prayer; and that He will provide the finances.

Today, we have over 40 people who are committed to build the House of Prayer at the International House of Prayer – One Thing Ministries. And currently, we have 5 nightly meetings every week. We are trusting God for a 24/7 House of Prayer in our land in the near future!

24/7 worship and prayer is a not a new idea biblically and historically. Approximately 1000 years before the birth of Christ, King David set the Ark of the Covenant in a tent that became known as the Tabernacle of David, a place of continual prayer and; worship for 30 years. David appointed 288 skilled prophetic singers and 4000 skilled musicians to minister before the LORD. Periodically over the next several 100 years of Israel’s history, leaders re-established this Davidic order of worship in the temple.

In 1722, a perpetual prayer meeting began in Germany. Count Nicholas Ludwig Von Zinzendorf allowed a group of persecuted Protestants – Moravians – to find shelter on his estate. They named their settlement Herrnhut, which means “The Watch of the LORD”. It soon became a thriving community, growing to more than 300 residents. In 1727, they experienced a massive outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Soon afterward they established a 24/7 prayer. Many of the community left to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth. By 1776, some 226 missionaries had been sent out from the community of Herrnhut. This prayer meeting went non-stop for the next 100 years and is seen by many as the spiritual power behind the impact that the Moravians had on the world.

Leviticus 6:13 says that "the fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out." It is our goal also to keep the fire burning so that it may never go out! We are calling out to all the intercessors, worship leaders, musicians, singers, etc who have the heart to establish this House for the LORD to join us in keeping this fire burning continuously!

"So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, & the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, & the spirit of all the remnant of the people; & they came & worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God." (Haggai 1:14)

TYPES OF MEETINGS

Watch of the Lord
Music CDs will be played during this session. The purpose of the meeting is for people to meditate on the Word of God and engage our hearts before God. The name of the meeting is derived from the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1 - 13 where Jesus exhorted us to buy the "oil" of intimacy.

Apostolic Intercessory WorshipThe session is focused on praying for revival for the city and for the Body of Christ using Harp and Bowl Intercessory Worship. It is held on the 2nd / 4th / 5th Saturday of every month and on the first Tuesday of every month (Global Bridegroom Fast week). On other Tuesdays, the first hour is devoted to training while the second hour will be the actual session. You are welcome to join us for both sessions! Read on…

My heart burns as the LORD gives me the “vision” to equip & empower the saints to embrace the lifestyle of intimacy with God & passion for Jesus as we live in these Last Days! King David described himself as “a person of one thing” (Psalm 27:4); Jesus exhorted the believers in Luke 10:42 that one thing is needed; & Apostle Paul proclaimed in Philippians 3:13 that it was this one thing that he was pursuing passionately after.

I believe that today, the Holy Spirit is re-emphasizing the need for the Body of Christ to return to the one & most important thing: the First & the Greatest Commandment (Matthew 22:37)! It is out of our passion for Jesus that will overflow our love & compassion for people, especially the lost, thereby resulting in a greater effectiveness to fulfill the Second Greatest Commandment or the Great Commission (Matthew 22:39, 28:19,20).

One Thing Ministries is committed to the following:

The Heart of the Ministry

At the heart of One Thing Ministries is the establishing of the HOUSE OF PRAYER where there is unceasing worship (i.e. ministry unto the LORD) & intercession in the city. Our inspiration came from Anna, the first evangelist & forerunner in the NT who prayed & fasted for over 60 years before Jesus’ first coming (Luke 2:37) & then from King David who organized 4000 musicians & 288 singers to worship God 24 hours a day (1 Chronicles 23 – 25).

In 1727, an Intercessory Mission Base was established in Germany by Count Zinzendorf. They began prayer meetings that continued 24 hours a day for over 100 years, resulting in the first Protestant missions movement in history known as the Moravians. They discovered that night & day prayer releases evangelism & missions. To this we say, “Yes, LORD!” We believe that unceasing worship & intercession for the Body of Christ in the city will increase our zeal & effectiveness in winning the lost!

ONE THING MINISTRIES
STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe that only the sixty-six books of the Bible are the inspired, and therefore inerrant, Word of God. It is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live. (Matt 5:18; John 10:35; 17:17; 2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2. We believe that one true God exists eternally in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that these, being one God, are equal in deity, power, and glory. We believe that God not only created the world but also now upholds, sustains, governs, and providentially directs all that exists and that He will bring all things to their proper consummation in Christ Jesus to the glory of His name. (Ps 104; 139; Matt 10:29-31; 28:19; Acts 17:24-28; 2 Cor 13:14; Eph 1:9-12; 4:4-6; Col 1:16-17; Heb 1:1-3; Rev 1:4-6)

3. We believe that Satan, originally a great and good angel, rebelled against God, taking a multitude of angels with him. He was cast out of God’s presence and is at work with his demonic hosts to establish his counter-kingdom of darkness and evil on the earth. Satan was judged and defeated at the cross of Christ and will, at the end of the age, be cast forever into the lake of fire which has been prepared for him and his angels. (Matt 12:25-29; 25:41; John 12:31; 16:11; Eph 6:10-20; Col 2:15; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Rev 12:7-9; 20:10)

4. We believe that Adam was originally created in the image of God, righteous and without sin. In consequence of his disobedience, Adam’s posterity are born subject to both imputed and inherent sin, and are therefore by nature and choice the children of wrath, justly condemned in the sight of God, wholly unable to save themselves or to contribute in any way to their acceptance with God. (Gen 1-3; Ps 51:5; Isa 53:5; Rom 3:9-18; 5:12-21; Eph 2:1-3)

5. We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered himself as a penal substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. By the blood of His cross He obtained for us eternal redemption, the forgiveness of sins, and life everlasting. He was raised bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to make intercession for the saints. (Matt 1:18-25; John 1:1-18; Rom 8:34; 1 Cor 15:1-28; 2 Cor 5:21; Gal 3:10-14; Eph 1:7; Phil 2:6-11; Col 1:15-23; Heb 7:25; 9:13-15; 10:19; 1 Peter 2:21-25; 1 John 2:1-2)

6. We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No ordinance, ritual, work, or any other activity on the part of man is required in order to be saved. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. (John 1:12-13; 6:37-44; 10:25-30; Acts 16:30-31; Rom 3-4; 8:1-17,31-39; 10:8-10; Eph 2:8-10; Phil 2:12-13; Titus 3:3-7; 1 John 1:7,9)

7. We believe that the LORD Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit, in whom also we are sealed for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit regenerates, forever indwells, and graciously equips the Christian for godly living and service. Subsequent to conversion the Spirit desires to fill, empower and anoint believers for ministry and witness.

8. We also believe that signs and wonders, as well as all the gifts of the Holy Spirit described in the New Testament, are operative today and are designed to testify to the presence of the Kingdom and to empower and edify the church to fulfill its calling and mission. (Matt 3:11; John 1:12-13; 3:1-15; Acts 4:29-30; Rom 8:9; 12:3-8; 1Cor 12:12-13; 2 Cor 1:21-22; Gal 3:1-5; Eph 1:13-14; 5:18)

9. We believe that water baptism and the LORD’s Supper are the two ordinances of the church to be observed until the time of Christ’s return. They are not a means of salvation but are channels of God’s sanctifying grace and blessing to the faithful in Christ Jesus. (Matt 26:26-29; 28:19; Rom 6:3-11; 1 Cor 11:23-34; 1 Peter 3:21)

10. We believe that the church is God’s primary instrument through which He is fulfilling His redemptive purposes in the earth. To equip the saints for the work of ministry, God has given the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. We also affirm the priesthood of all believers and the importance of every Christian being joined and actively involved in a local community of the saints. We believe that women, no less than men are called and gifted to proclaim the gospel and do all the works of the Kingdom. (Matt 16:17-9; Acts 2:17-18, 42; Eph 3:14-21; 4:11-16; Heb 10:23-25; 1 Peter 2:4-5, 9-10)

11. We believe that God has called the church to preach the gospel to all nations, and especially to remember the poor and to minister to their needs through sacrificial giving and practical service. This ministry is an expression of the heart of the LORD Jesus Christ and is an essential part of the Kingdom of God. (Isa 58:6-12; 61:1; Matt 28:18-20; Luke 4:18; 21:1-4; Gal 2:10; 1 Tim 6:8)

12. We believe in the literal second coming of Christ at the end of the age when He will return to the earth personally and visibly to consummate His Kingdom. We also believe in and are praying for a great end-time harvest of souls and the emergence of a victorious church that will experience an unprecedented unity, purity and power in the Holy Spirit. (Ps 2:7-9; 22:27-28; John 14:12; 17:20-26; Rom 11:25-32; 1 Cor 15:20-28, 50-58; Eph 4:11-16; Phil 3:20-21; 1 Thess 4:13-5:11; 2 Thess 1:3-12; Rev 7:9-14)

13. We believe that when the Christian dies, he / she passes immediately into the blessed presence of Christ, there to enjoy conscious fellowship with the Savior until the day of the resurrection and glorious transformation of the body. The saved will then forever dwell in blissful fellowship with their great Triune God. We also believe that when the unbeliever dies, he / she is consigned to hell, there to awaits the Day of Judgment when he / she shall be punished with eternal separation from the presence of God. Welcome to the House of Prayer – One Thing Ministries, a citywide, interdenominational prayer ministry in the spirit of Tabernacle of David. We are excited about what the LORD is doing in the area of worship & intercession here & around the world.

We seek to establish a 24/7 House of Prayer in Singapore where worship & intercession will never stop in this land. Currently, we have 3 types of meetings:

Apostolic Intercession – focuses on praying for revival for the city & for the Body of Christ in Singapore
Devotional Worship – focuses on worshipping & loving Jesus in a corporately & personal way.
Prophetic Worship - Worship with the Word cum teachings – focuses on corporate worship & teachings of the Word on Intimacy with God & End-Times.

We encourage everyone in the House to be actively engaged in worship & prayer during all types of meeting. You may do this by singing along with the worship songs, singing spontaneously from your heart or Scripture, warring in the spirit, etc. Of course you always have the option to just close your eyes & engage privately with the LORD. You may also use the time to read the Bible privately.

During the apostolic intercessory meeting, everyone is welcome to come up to the designated intercessory microphone to pray. If you would like to pray on the microphone, come sit in the front row & briefly communicate with the Prayer Leader your desire to pray.

In the apostolic intercessory meeting, we encourage everyone to pray from the Apostolic Payer form that contains the recommended verses. We also suggest that you focus your prayer on praying for revival in the city or for the Body of Christ in Singapore.

When praying on the microphone, you can pray straight through your prayer or to pause throughout your prayer to make room for the singers to respond.

House of Prayer -> Global Bridegroom Fast

Jesus said, “Can the Friends of the Bridegroom MOURN as long as the Bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the Bridegroom will be taken away from them, & then THEY WILL FAST.” (Matthew 9:15)

The GBF is fasting that is motivated by experiencing the burning desire of Jesus’ love. The apostles had become accustomed to experiencing intimacy with Jesus during His earthly ministry. However, when the Bridegroom was taken away (by His death on the cross), they mourned to experience the former embrace of His Divine love. This mourning compelled them to fast, crying out, “Jesus, I must have more.” Thus, they “mourned with fasting” for renewed experiences of intimacy with God.

The GBF is focused not on earning or deserving more of God but rather on enlarging our capacity to freely receive & experience more of the ocean of Jesus’ love. From this reality, the Body of Christ will eventually enter into the fullness of God’s power. Esther is a picture of coming to the King for power through prayer & fasting empowered by confidence in love.

The GBF is a monthly 3-day fast & the gathering of God’s people to seek His face. In other words, it’s the first Monday to Wednesday of every month. It is a worldwide solemn Assembly of God’s people for a time of prayer with fasting.

However, “One Thing” Ministries will begin the GBF with only a 1-day gathering (i.e. Tuesday) from 7.30pm – 9.30pm.

1. We wait before the presence of God to hear His voice & to receive His love. (Isaiah 40:31)

2. We meditate on the Word of God & allowing the Holy Spirit to release revelation unto us. (1 Corinthians 2:10; Ephesians 1:17)

3. We pray for the release of the fullness of Holy Spirit in the Church (John 14:12), Revival & Harvest (Malachi 4:6; Matthew 24:14), Salvation to Israel (Romans 9 – 11), etc.

Joel 2:15, 16 say, “BLOW THE TRUMPET IN ZION, CONSECRATE A FAST, CALL A SACRED ASSEMBLY; GATHER THE PEOPLE…” It is important for God’s people to gather, seek His face, fast & pray in such a crucial hour as this so that the will of God can be done on earth. For extreme times require extreme measures. It is time for the people of God to rise up in her bridal identity to abandon herself to Jesus in lovesick worship with fasting & prayer in order to more effectively preach the gospel, serve the poor & heal the sick!

House of Prayer -> Apostolic Intercession

1. Apostolic prayers are prayers that the apostle prayed in the NT. The chief apostle is Jesus & the 12 apostles have prayers recorded in the NT. These apostolic prayers are God’s very prayers.

2. Apostolic prayers focus on releasing God’s grace instead of hindering or removing negative realities like sin or demons. There is a positive focus on the impartation of good instead of a negative focus on removing the realities of sin.

3. There is a place for “negative” dimensions of prayer that target confessing, resisting & renouncing the realities of the world, flesh & devil. But they are not the major focus of the NT model of praying.

We embrace the negative dimension of confronting sin as based on the confession model of identification repentance used in Scripture by Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, etc.
Corporate confession of our fathers’ historical sin is a part of biblical praying, but we must employ this dimension of prayer with Holy Spirit sensitivity instead of just doing it automatically by routine.

4. There are about 25 – 30 NT apostolic prayers. Example of apostolic prayer:
Acts 4:24-31; Rom. 10:1; Rom. 15:5 – 7; Rom. 15:13; 1 Cor. 1:4-8; Eph. 1:17-19; Eph. 3:16-19; Phil. 1:9-11; Col. 1:9-12; 1 Thes. 3:9-13; 2 Thes. 1:11-12; 2 Thes. 3:1-5

5. Characteristics of the apostolic prayers
a. Apostolic prayers are God-ward prayers. Essentially, it is God-centered spiritual warfare.

b. Apostolic prayers are focused prayers for the Body of Christ in the city.

c. Apostolic prayers awaken love – loving the LORD, loving the Church, loving the harvest. We fall in love with whoever we pray for.

d. Apostolic prayers are essential in helping us to be grounded in the truth so as to operate in faith.

e. Apostolic prayers are guaranteed prayers. They are prayers that burn in the heart of God! They are like checks that are already signed. They are waiting for a co-signer on the earth.

a. Using songs that direct us to sing to God, not just about God.
b. Leading all in the room to experience God.
c. Spontaneous worship.

2. Intercession with apostolic prayer (10min)
a. Praying through a biblical passage.
b. Develop a theme through a biblical text – i.e. praying for the Church, nations, etc.

d. Praying in the spirit.

APOSTOLIC PRAYERS OF PAUL

1. Prayer for revelation of Jesus' beauty and the Bride's destiny unto transforming our heart
…the Father of glory, may give to you the SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the HOPE OF HIS CALLING, what are the riches of the GLORY OF HIS INHERITANCE IN THE SAINTS, and what is the exceeding GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD US… (Eph. 1:17-19).

2. Prayer for the release of supernatural strength in the heart unto experiencing God's emotions.
…that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, TO BE STRENGTHENED WITH MIGHT THROUGH HIS SPIRIT IN THE INNER MAN, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, MAY BE ABLE TO COMPREHEND with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 3. Prayer for God's love to abound in our heart resulting in discernment and righteousness.
And this I pray, that YOUR LOVE MAY ABOUND still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may APPROVE THE THINGS THAT ARE EXCELLENT, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being FILLED WITH THE FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God (Phil. 1:9-11).

4. Prayer to know God's will, to be fruitful in ministry and strengthened by intimacy with God.
We…do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may have a WALK WORTHY OF THE LORD, fully pleasing Him, BEING FRUITFUL in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; STRENGTHENED WITH ALL MIGHT, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 5. Prayer for unity in the church across a city or region.
Now may the God of patience and comfort GRANT YOU TO BE LIKE-MINDED toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, THAT YOU MAY WITH ONE MIND AND ONE MOUTH glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus. (Rom. 15:5-7)

6. Prayer to be filled with supernatural joy, peace and hope.
Now may the God of hope FILL YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE IN BELIEVING, THAT YOU MAY ABOUND IN HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom. 15:13)

7. Prayer for Israel to be saved through Jesus.
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for ISRAEL is that they may be saved. (Rom. 10:1).

8. Prayer for the release of apostolic ministry and to abound in love and holiness
…we rejoice for your sake before our God, night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith? Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. And may the Lord make you increase and ABOUND IN LOVE to one another and to all…so that He may ESTABLISH YOUR HEARTS BLAMELESS IN HOLINESS before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints. (1 Thes. 3:9-13)

9. Prayer for the release of the Holy Spirit's power unto mature holiness
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. (1 Thes. 5:23-24)

10. Prayer to be equipped and prepared to receive the fullness of God’s destiny for the church.
Therefore we also pray always for you THAT OUR GOD WOULD COUNT YOU WORTHY OF THIS CALLING, AND FULFILL ALL THE GOOD PLEASURE OF HIS GOODNESS AND THE WORK OF FAITH WITH POWER, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thes. 1:11-12)

11. Prayer for the Word to increase by the release of God's power to win unbelievers to Jesus.
Finally, brethren, pray for us, THAT THE WORD OF THE LORD MAY RUN SWIFTLY AND BE GLORIFIED, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you. NOW MAY THE LORD DIRECT YOUR HEARTS INTO THE LOVE OF GOD AND INTO THE PATIENCE OF CHRIST. (2 Thes. 3:1-5)

12. Prayer that God would open a door of evangelism through releasing His power on the Word.
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, THAT GOD WOULD OPEN TO US A DOOR FOR THE WORD, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. (Col. 4:2-4)

13. Prayer to enriched with the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit leading unto righteousness.
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, THAT YOU WERE ENRICHED IN EVERYTHING by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so THAT YOU COME SHORT IN NO GIFT, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, THAT YOU MAY BE BLAMELESS in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. WORSHIP (ISAIAH 66:1)
As the people of God, we are given 2 specific roles: kings & priests (Rev. 1:6, 4:10). The role of “king” is referred specifically in the area of Great Commission where we reach out to the nations for the LORD & established the Kingdom of God all over the earth. The role of “priest” is referred specifically to minister unto the LORD with worship & intercession.

Isaiah 66:1 is the very cry of God’s heart for the people of God to minister unto Him. One of the main focuses of devotional worship is to “make God happy!” The focus is not how we feel during worship but how God feels! God is truly worthy to receive every glory, honor & power. I believe with all my heart that when God is truly worshipped, something will beginning to change – our heart, our circumstances, our nation, etc.

WATCH (MATTHEW 25:13)
In Matthew 25:1 – 13, our Lord Jesus Christ specifically teaches us to be like the 5 wise virgins. He exhorts us to start acquiring “oil” so that we will have confidence in Him during the Last Days. He concludes the parable by asking us to WATCH. The word “watch” implies the cultivating of our intimate walk with the LORD.

Another purpose of the devotional worship is a time where we “watch” & take time to develop intimacy with Him by being in His presence. David understood & knew the heart of God by learning to GAZE upon the beauty of the LORD. Similarly, this is a time of “watching” & gazing upon the LORD.

WAIT (ISAIAH 40:27 – 31)
“One Thing” Ministries is committed in raising up forerunners to be the VOICE of God in the Last Days so that we can be a “light” to the world in trouble times. Isaiah 40:28 – 31 describes one of the key in preparing to be a forerunner –
WAIT!

Isaiah 40 is a powerful passage that describes the forerunner in the Last Days. Verses 1 – 5 talk about the mandate of a forerunner. Verses 6 – 26 lay out the message that a forerunner will proclaim. Verses 27 – 31 teach about the preparation of a forerunner.

To be a forerunner, we need to learn to wait before the LORD – to hear His voice & to receive a “message” from Him so that we will be a VOICE & not an ECHO! It is in the midst of waiting that we will be strengthened by the LORD. Also, we will never be able to receive high level of revelation if we are always & constantly on the run.

Many people express to me that they wish that they have a direct “hotline” to God so that they can hear him clearly. Few of us can hear Him clearly unless we bother to wait before Him & learn to sharpen our senses to His voice. It is in waiting that we will grow in our sensitivity to the voice of God.

WEAK (MATTHEW 26:41)
Individually, we are all weak. There is a limit in how far we can press into God on our own. Yes, we can & we should do it at our own personal time. But there is a cap. We also need to recognize that we need one another to spur & encourage each other to press in to God. That’s why I am creating an environment (i.e. the House of Prayer) where all of us can press in to God together & starting developing a HISTORY with Him. Many of us have a willing spirit but our flesh is weak. We can’t do it on our own but we need to press in as a community!

The followings are some of the things you can do during the time of devotional worship:

Take time to mediate on a specific portion of scripture & allow the Holy Spirit to grant you fresh revelation & new understanding to that portion of Scripture.

LISTEN TO HIS VOICE & SEEK HIS FACE

Take time to listen to His voice & allow the LORD to speak to you. Seek the face of the LORD like David beholds the face of God in the Tabernacle of David (Psalm 27:4).

PRAYER & INTERCESSION

You can also take this time to pray & intercede for whatever burden that is upon your heart. Please be sensitive to those around you by not praying too loudly.

ENJOY HIM, SOAK IN HIS PRESENCE & RECEIVE HIS LOVE

Psalm 84:1 – 2 says, “How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts! My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart & my flesh cry out for the living God.” The devotional worship is what Psalm 84:1 – 4 is all about.I know that this expression of worship is a relatively new paradigm to many of us. I like to encourage you to press in &amp;amp;amp; engage with the LORD & in due time, you will begin to appreciate much of it. Don’t be too quick to say that this is not for me. You will be surprised by God.

Forerunners School

John the Baptist answered, “…the friend of the Bridegroom…rejoices greatly because of the Bridegroom’s voice.” John 3:29

John the Baptist described himself in his forerunner ministry as a “friend of the Bridegroom”. For John went before the First Coming of Jesus to prepare a people for Him. The Holy Spirit is again, raising up forerunners in this exciting hours to declare & teach on the a 3-fold revelation of the beauty of Jesus as a passionate Bridegroom, transcendent King & righteous Judge (Psalm 2:10 – 12). These are vital themes for preparing every believer as we live in the Last Days.

One Thing Ministries seeks to equip & prepare believers to live in the Bridal Identity with wholehearted love for God. Our desire is to see the LORD raising up different types of ministries that function in the forerunner spirit as “friends of the Bridegroom” to prepare the Body of Christ as a holy lovesick Bride for the fulfillment of the Great Commission & the unique measure of glory in the Last Days.We will be starting the School of Forerunners with regular teachings organized around 3 teaching tracks from February 2007. The 3 tracks are Intimacy with God; the Forerunners’ Ministry & School of Prayers.

GLOBAL BRIDEGROOM FAST

What is the Bridegroom Fast?

Jesus said, “Can the Friends of the Bridegroom MOURN as long as the Bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the Bridegroom will be taken away from them, & then THEY WILL FAST.” (Matthew 9:15)

The GBF is fasting that is motivated by experiencing the burning desire of Jesus’ love. The apostles had become accustomed to experiencing intimacy with Jesus during His earthly ministry. However, when the Bridegroom was taken away (by His death on the cross), they mourned to experience the former embrace of His Divine love. This mourning compelled them to fast, crying out, “Jesus, I must have more.” Thus, they “mourned with fasting” for renewed experiences of intimacy with God.

The GBF is focused not on earning or deserving more of God but rather on enlarging our capacity to freely receive & experience more of the ocean of Jesus’ love. From this reality, the Body of Christ will eventually enter into the fullness of God’s power. Esther is a picture of coming to the King for power through prayer & fasting empowered by confidence in love.

When

The GBF is a monthly 3-day fast & the gathering of God’s people to seek His face. In other words, it’s the first Monday to Wednesday of every month. It is a worldwide solemn Assembly of God’s people for a time of prayer with fasting.

However, “One Thing” Ministries will begin the GBF with only a 1-day gathering (i.e. Tuesday) from 7.30pm – 9.30pm.

What do we do for when we gather?

1. We wait before the presence of God to hear His voice & to receive His love. (Isaiah 40:31)

2. We meditate on the Word of God & allowing the Holy Spirit to release revelation unto us. (1 Corinthians 2:10; Ephesians 1:17)

3. We pray for the release of the fullness of Holy Spirit in the Church (John 14:12), Revival & Harvest (Malachi 4:6; Matthew 24:14), Salvation to Israel (Romans 9 – 11), etc.

Joel 2:15, 16 say, “Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the people…” It is important for God’s people to gather, seek His face, fast & pray in such a crucial hour as this so that the will of God can be done on earth. For extreme times require extreme measures. It is time for the people of God to rise up in her bridal identity to abandon herself to Jesus in lovesick worship with fasting & prayer in order to more effectively preach the gospel, serve the poor & heal the sick!
